Ariel Gail

Professor Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. Her name has been recognized for pioneering the study of witness testimony by children and the eyewitness memory in legal settings. Professor Goodman has published widely she has received grants from numerous sources and received numerous national and international distinctions. She has advised numerous authorities and government agencies around the world about policies and studies pertaining to the treatment of child victims of the law by the system. Additionally, she provides consultant for the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center. (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center) Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She is a part of numerous professional associations, including The Association for Psychological Science and the American Psychological Association (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for the Psychological Study of Social Issues Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56). She is a founding member of the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is the former President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
