Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn has been an actress for over 20 years. She is most famous for her part as Skyler White on the AMC show Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in an Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She was Jean Ward and Martha Bullock and Martha Bullock, respectively, on The Practice. Anna Gunn began acting as an infant at Sante Fe New Mexico. The family moved to Ohio, where she continued her passion for the theatre. Her studies in theatre was at Northwestern University. A semester was taken at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her professional career working in the Chicago area theatres for a couple of years. Then she moved to TV and film. Anna got her first major part in the role of Arden when Down the Shore aired 29 episodes in the year 1992. Following her appearance as a Guest on several TV shows and Films, including Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue in the 1990's and was later given the role of Jean Ward as part of The Practice. She was cast as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons in the late 2000s. Skyler is the character she played in her Breaking Bad role from 2008. In addition, she was a part of the Deadwood film as well as Sully. Gunn was a part of David Schwimmer's Sex With Strangers, a production that was directed by David Schwimmer. She was also a part of the audio drama podcast series of four parts The Numbered Days series, which made available in 2022. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. The strains and eventual ending mirrors the last years that were the life of Walter White.
